Great selection of real ales, accommodating staff, the recent refurb was well worth waiting for and has improved the pub no end.

Stumbled across this lovely little pub by following the brown sign. Made to feel very welcome and as I had my dog with me was advised as to the best place to sit outside for shade on a very hot day (dog biscuits and water provided too!). Lunch was tasty, a lamb kofta with homemade chips and salad. Worth the detour off the main road

We decided to pay a visit due to the fact that we heard it was under new management and had recently reopened after extensive refurbishment. Everything about the place was spot on - the decor, the staff, the drinks selection and the food. Three of us ate from the Saturday lunch menu. We had cheese ploughmans, the burger and a brie and bacon ciabatta. All three dishes were exceptional and far exceeded expectations compared to usual pub fayre. Reccomended.

There is a broad variety of products available when it comes to both liquor and food. Comfortable atmosphere, good size car park directly opposite, and the new owners are wonderful. Would recommend to all. Drinkers and family alike. Shall be back again soon!

A nice country pub tucked away close to Lingfield racecourse. Very welcoming Landlady and Landlord. Tastefully decorated. The food exceeded expectations. Loved the fact that the menu selection was small and that it was printed, showing that it frequently changed. I always think that this is a sign of a good chef. The food really was great. My son loved his burger and the cheese ploughmans was well presented and a good selection. The chips were fantastic. Home cooked!! You will need to order a main course that is accompanied by chips in order to try these. All in all a pleasurable experience. We will return with others. Well done!

Very friendly, dogs welcome the food was excellent.. ..well worth a visit. As I live in Spain it's lovely to come back and go to a real English village pub.

Since the renovation, this is truly a 'hidden gem' in the countryside. Do visit and experience the warm welcome, great beers, and fantastic food.
